MICHAEL PEASTER SR.

Michael brings more than 40 years of executive experience in enterprise risk management, security intelligence and collaboration with governmental agencies to his role as Chief Risk & Government Officer at MJK Solutions, LLC a Division of Peachtree Providence Partners.  Michael is responsible for collaborating with portfolio clients to assess their risk mitigation strategies, provide expertise in global risk and threat management, and optimizing the security organization design. In addition, he is the relationship lead for the firm’s government portfolio.

Prior to joining MJK Solutions, Michael served as Corporate Vice President & Chief Security Officer at the McDonald’s Corporation, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s global risk mitigation strategies. As an executive in one of the world’s most iconic brands, he led teams of highly specialized industry experts (internal and external) to support business and brand resiliency strategies.  Additionally, he managed relationships with various governmental agencies to proactively support the company’s domestic and international business interest and sponsorship of the Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Michael also has extensive experience in executive protection and travel safety.

He started his career with the South Carolina State Senate Police and then as Agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the DEA Task Force where he received numerous awards for outstanding service.  He also received numerous awards throughout his McDonald’s career including the prestigious President’s Award (Top 1%) and for exemplary work with the company’s Diversity organizations.

Michael has served as a guest presenter at the Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Association annual conference, 100 Black Men Chicago Chapter Annual Pathway to Success Conference, Kellogg School of Management /ISMA Executive Leadership Program, and International Security Management Association Conference.

Michael maintains and leverages an extensive network of peers, industry memberships and proprietary sourcing relationships to stay abreast best of best practices, government standards and new technologies.  He is a Life member of the International Security Management Association (ISMA) and National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and currently a Board Member of The Security Foundation.

Michael is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and an associate degree in Sociology.
